205 MPH, 610 HP, and 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. The 2017 R8 V10 Plus turns 91 octane fuel into g-forces faster than almost anything else on the market. To go any faster from a standing start you need to pony up four times as much money for one of the Hybrid Hypercars, a Mclaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, or LaFerrari. Along with raw speed, like other high performance Audi’s, the R8 V10 Plus carries with it a great duality. It is as perfectly suited to cruise up to a black tie event on a Saturday night as it is to attack 10/10th’s at the racetrack on a Sunday morning. This duality and the raw performance from the 5.2L FSI V10 engine are ultimately what attracted our customer to purchase this R8 V10 Plus.
The engineers at Audi Sport GmbH in Neckarsulm Germany have done an incredible job setting up the V10 Plus however for our customer the stance of the R8 just wasn’t aggressive enough for his tastes. In comes KW Suspension and their brilliant Height Adjustable Spring Kit, commonly referred to as a HAS Kit. This performance suspension kit transforms the factory shock into a full coilover and allows for up to 1.0″ of lowering compared to the stock height. The KW H.A.S. Kit retains the factory R8 V10 Plus shock and adds an adjustable spring perch with new higher performance springs. This maintains the expert balance that Audi has engineered into the R8 while increasing handling ability and suspension performance.
