When lowering any B8/B8.5 S4 significantly with Coilovers the suspension geometry in relation to Camber and Caster is typically pushed past the specifications that Audi has called for. This can lead to premature tire wear and also can negatively effect the handling of a vehicle when in a performance environment such as the racetrack or canyon road. The best solution to this problem is accomplished by installing SPC Adjustable Upper Control Arms into the front suspension of the S4. These control arms allow for 1.5° of adjustment for both Camber and Caster. This adjustment allows the owner of the car to dial in the suspension geometry either for more performance oriented driving or back to OEM spec for longer tire life. The adjustable control arms can also be used to gain more clearance in the front of the S4 for those running a wider more aggressive wheel and tire combination.
In addition to the SPC Adjustable Upper Control Arms this S4 received a set of performance Hawk HPS 5.0 Brake Pads along with performance high temperature brake fluid. Both of these combined will lead to more consistent braking performance when driving in a spirited manner or on the racetrack especially when the S4 is making 100HP more than stock thanks to the GIAC Stage 2 Tune and Pulley!
