2016 was an incredible year of growth for us at Parts Score, we expanded the shop and grew in every area of the business. This includes installing more ESS Tuning supercharger kits than we can count! 2017 will be no different and we are starting it off with a bang with another 625HP Kit onto a clean Alpine White E92 DCT M3. This client came to us with a goal of increasing the power output of his M3 to keep up with the wide variety of new performance sedans and coupes on the market and with the ESS Tuning 625HP kit he will not only keep up but he will obliterate the competition on the road and track.
The ESS Tuning kit consists of a Vortech V3si supercharger, a new water to air intercooled intake manifold, higher flow injectors, and many other smaller components. Installation is straight forward and does not require any other modifications to the motor or chassis. We do recommend at a minimum an exhaust which reduces restriction and unleashes a few more HP and DB from the S65 4.0L V8. In addition, for higher mileage M3’s we also recommend a Rob Bearing replacement. We have detailed this process and the reasoning behind why it is necessary here: https://partsscore.com/bmw-m3-s65-v8-rod-bearing-replacement-complete-kit/
Due to the forward progression of manufacturing technology over the past year the ESS Tuning 625HP kit has seen a massive price reduction over years past. In conjunction to the price drop on supercharger kits the prices on the E9X M3’s have been steadily falling as owners decide to sell. This has opened the E9X platform up to a whole new subset of owners who previously have not been able to purchase one. This reduction in pricing on both the supercharger kits and cars themselves means that we expect to see more E9X M3’s in for blowers this year than ever!
Below in the rest of the article we will take you through the installation process of the ESS Tuning 625HP Supercharger Kit.
