A welcomed sight in the shop today was this brand new 6 Speed Manual Alpine White on Coral Red BMW M235i. This compact performance coupe received a Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake for this round of modifications. The N55 Twin Scroll Turbocharged Inline Six that is featured in nearly all of BMW’s lineup is a stout engine from the factory and has an intake that is designed for maximum efficiency and reduction of engine noise. The Dinan intake retains the factory efficiency and adds performance and sound thanks to its larger volume air box that completely seals, optimized carbon fiber intake tube, larger cylindrical air filter, and larger MAF housing. Dinan states 10 HP and 15 TQ gains can be achieved with this intake on a completely stock car, however even more power can be achieved when combined with a flashtune and exhaust.
